Todd Bentley and Morningstar Apostasy

Posted on January 27, 2011

Fire. Enlightenment. Prophetic. Healing. Visitations. Trances. Spirit travel. Drunk in the spirit. These are all terms that can be summed up in one term alone: deception.

Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries is one of the leading wolves in sheep’s clothing ravaging the visible church today. Based just outside of Charlotte, NC, Bentley performs his circus acts under the authority of Morningstar Ministries‘ Rick Joyner of Fort Mill, SC, former home of the infamous PTL. Following in the footsteps of other latter rain false prophets before him (such as William Branham, Benny Hinn, the Copelands, Kenneth Hagin, Paul Cain, and Rodney Howard Brown),  Bentley continues to deceive the masses with his lying signs and wonders, giving false hope to those relying on subjective feelings and experiences.

A video was uploaded to Youtube on January 25th showing Bentley performing what he called a commission and ordination of “true lightning rod evangelists”, er false prophets, Michael and Amanda Krysty. What one will see in this video is nothing short of disturbing, and it’s all done in the name of Jesus. Indeed, these antics are yet more proof we are at the doorstep of Christ’s return, for Scripture says,

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. – 2 Timothy 3:13

What’s more and as Chrystal Whitt pointed out in her article, Todd Bently: Writing His Own Bible (be sure to read the comment section), Bentley has the audacity to blatantly contradict Scripture in front of the crowd by saying,

And, of course, we don’t do anything decently and in order at Fresh Fire Ministries.

Sound familiar, perhaps? From 1 Corinthians 14:40:

Let all things be done decently and in order.

Todd Bentley and his minions are on a mission to destroy the souls of men. Their “ministry” is an affront to God, even blasphemous to His character and the Holy Spirit’s true ministry. God is not the author of confusion, neither of chaos. Yet, the meetings conducted at the Morningstar cult are nothing but confusing and chaotic. If you know anyone caught up in this movement, pray God would reveal Himself to them and call them to repentance. These wolves are after young children, therefore due diligence and research into what these “prophetic ministries” are truly about is essential to share with those lost in its trappings.

A good place to start would be Charismania: When False Spirits Enter the Church, which will show how the twitching and apparent “drunkenness” one sees in the above video is a result of demonic possession by what is referred to as Kundalini energy. The videos in the article reveal the roots of this “anointing” that is spreading like wildfire across the globe.

Do not be deceived:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. – 2 Timothy 4:3-4
