My family and I will be attending the #protestPP event this Saturday at the future site for the Washington D.C. Planned Parenthood. There are over 300 PP facilities in America, and likely one near you. The protest is from 9am-11am on 8/22/15. Go here to join a protest at your local Planned Parenthood.
We are attending this protest with the understanding there will be Christians, religious, and non-religious folks there. We are joining them as Americans to protest the evils of Planned Parenthood. But we will also be doing more than that.
We will not be holding signs that say “#PPSellsBabyParts”. Yes, PP selling baby parts is evil, but only because the murder of babies is evil. That is what we will primarily be protesting.
This is an opportunity to not only stand with fellow citizens to protest Planned Parenthood’s butchery-for-profit, but to be light among these fellow citizens to highlight the ultimate evil – the murder of children.
Many of these protesters do not like the term murder, much less the term applied to the act of aborting children. We hope to help them understand that abortion is indeed murder, and God’s Word says He hates the hands that shed innocent blood.
Because abortion is murder, and because murderers will be cast into the lake of fire, we hope to bring the message of Life and Hope that Jesus Christ saves murderers who repent and believe the Gospel. He also saves idolaters, liars, drunkards, fornicators, adulterers, and homosexuals – so we hope to also meet fellow protesters who fit this category and point them to our great Redeemer as well.
If you are a non-Christian, I encourage you to find a local PP to join a protest. If you are a Christian, I encourage you to do the same. This is an unprecedented time in our nation’s history during this decades-old holocaust called legalized abortion. We must take advantage of these recent events, and bring real exposure to the shedding of innocent blood – blood that fills the streets of our communities.
In case you haven’t seen the latest Planned Parenthood investigative video published by The Centers for Medical Progress, the image above is a snapshot from the video, which can be viewed below. This baby’s face, or the face of one like him or her, was dissected to retrieve the brain for profit. It’s just one more horrid example out of 58 million that should cause us to weep and take significant action to wage war against this greatest evil against image-bearers of God.
We can be complacent like the German Christians during the Jewish holocaust, or we can love mercy, do justice, and walk humbly with our God during this American holocaust until it ends (Micah 6:8). The Lord is watching how we respond.
