Do You Use Gospel Tracts? Consider this…

Posted on September 9, 2011

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation jfor all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. – Titus 2:11-14

James Jennings from I’ll Be Honest explains in the video below how we are redeemed to be zealous for good works, among which is the call to evangelism. Many Christians turn their noses up to Gospel tracts for various reasons, but consider this from the Prince of Preachers, Charles Spurgeon:

When preaching and private tale are not available, you need to have a tract ready…get good striking tracts, or none at all…therefore, do not go out without your tracts…Let each one of us, if we have done nothing for Christ, begin to do something now. The distribution of Gospel tracts is the first thing.

Think about the hundreds of people you may pass each day of life. It is not possible to vocally share the Gospel with all of these people, but there is great potential in getting the Gospel into many of their hands. Moreover, Gospel tracts are excellent icebreakers to get into conversations with people in order to witness to them.

If you have never purchased Gospel tracts before, please consider obtaining a free sample pack from Lake Road Chapel. Absent of man-centered gimmicks such as a sinner’s prayer, these Gospel tracts are doctrinally pure. I agree with James’ assessment of this tract, How Would You Feel If Your Thought Life Were to Be Shown on Nationwide TV? It is excellent!
