You don’t know me, but I’ve come to learn about you over the last few weeks. I’ve been following you on recent news reports where you have threatened to start a riot if Mitt Romney wins the 2012 U.S. Presidential election. I’ve noticed how infatuated you are with our current president, Barack Obama, and how you will go to just about any length to ensure he stays in office.
You have resorted to threats of violence to not only riot on American streets, but you have gone so low as to threaten the life of Mitt Romney specifically. So in light of all this, I wanted to write you a letter of warning. I want to tell you more about yourself and what you can expect if you continue down this path of destruction.
Psalm 11:5 reveals God’s disposition toward you:
The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
That’s not very comforting for you is it? Does it concern you that the God who created you hates you? Most people believe that because God is love that He does not hate anyone or anything. Sadly, most people don’t read their Bibles. It’s right there in black and white in Psalm 11:5.
Proverbs 6:18 reveals more of God’s disposition toward you:
[The Lord hates]…a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil…
What is it that you are doing in your tasteless tweets threatening violence on the streets and against Mitt Romney? You are devising wicked schemes of violence, and you’re planning evil against your neighbor. God hates that. But He doesn’t just hate your thoughts, He hates the one thinking them.
But wait, it gets worse.
Psalm 7:11-16 explains what God is planning for those whom He is angry:
God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day. 12 If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow; 13 he has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making his arrows fiery shafts. 14 Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. 15 He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. 16 His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.
So Mr. Rioter, you are making your own bed, and one day you will lie in it if things stay the same for you. You are doing what Romans 2:5 explains as storing up for yourself wrath for the day of wrath when you will face the righteous judgment of God. If you do not turn away from your sins, God will sharpen His sword for the day of slaughter against you, He will prepare His deadly arrows to pierce your soul, and He will not miss His target.
But perhaps most of you wouldn’t actually start a riot as you threaten. This is because you are cowards and you speak lies. You hate truth and you love foolish talk and crude joking. But do not be deceived into thinking God’s wrath is not being stored up for you as well. Ephesians 5:6 and Romans 1:32 says the righteous judgment of God is coming against you who approve of those who practice violence and invent ways of doing evil.
As foolish as you are, Mr. Rioter, and as much as you hate God and the things of God, namely peace, love, joy, order, righteousness, holiness, justice, humility, and patience, I care about you. That is why I am warning you. I want to warn you that if you continue down this path of destruction, you are going to get what you deserve.
While in this life you may get away with countless crimes against civil society, you will not escape the justice of God. He knows your every thought, word, and deed. He knows your secret life. And every time you have sinned against Him, you have broken His law and He will not hold you guiltless on judgment day. He will give you, a criminal, what you deserve, and that is the punishment for your crimes against Him.
Mr. Rioter, as a criminal in the sight of God, you should be very afraid. Fear God, my friend. His wrath is coming against you if you continue in your rebellion against Him, if you continue in your love for violence, and if you continue in your hatred for life. Fear Him who has the power to not only kill your body, but also the power and authority to kill your soul in the everlasting destruction of hell.
You don’t know what violence is, Mr. Rioter. You are merely a coward who has no respect for life or property. Any violence you might commit or wish to see committed will fail miserably in comparison to the violence the Lord God will do to your soul when He throws you into the lake of fire should you persist in your reckless journey.
So I will leave you with two things to consider if you are in the least bit concerned with your position before God. I refer you to an article where you will find the only Hope for yourself in this life and the life to come. There is but one way you can escape God’s wrath and be reconciled to Him. So please read this: Do You Know Him?
I also refer you to the video below explaining what you can expect should you face the terrible wrath of God at the Great White Throne Judgment found in Revelation 20:11-15.
If you continue to harden your heart toward God and His free offer of mercy, you are no longer ignorant of what is to come for you. You have been warned, Mr. Rioter, you have been warned. Repent and believe the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Chilling, Justin. Well written and a good warning to us all to remind us of God’s holiness and Christ’s righteousness and grace which exceeds all our sin.

Thank you, brother. The holiness of God is lost on America. God is love, but His love is a holy love. Only those who fear God will come to know His jealous and holy love, and those who continue in their sin will only come to know His great and terrible wrath.

Dear Justin, Maybe your words here will help this “rioter” get saved, and maybe not. I pray it will. God forbid that he will follow through with this evil intent.
On the other hand, I hope you are sending these same words to the “wicked” who are threatening their current President as well, and to the “wicked” who are preaching that he is the antichrist, taking scriptures out of context and making subjective statements as though biblical. Regardless of our disagreement with the president, we owe God our prayers FOR him! (Romans 13)
If it can be said and acted upon that Mr. Obama can be rejected for his position on abortion & same-sex marriage, then how do we justify voting or endorsing a Mormon who does not even embrace the Christ of the Bible, and who idolizes America and whose views of marriage and race are just as distorted as neo-nazism? Justify Romney all you want, but know that a document of doctrine that speaks different of false beliefs in the past does not dismiss the traditional strength of that doctrine being held in the heart of its followers.
One very tragic thing that has risen from this very wicked time in America beyond the racial predjudice, beyond the economic differences, and beyond the political dishonesty from Mitt Romney as well as Obama, is that the church is that much more polarized and divided!!! The church is being played and we are playing into the hands of the wicked. We are going to reap what we are sowing.
Confront if you choose, those who are dangerous and violent. But as a Bible teacher, and evangelist, if you publicly endorse one candidate over another, you contribute to that violence and cloud the truth of the gospel that you seek to proclaim. It appears as though in your “defense” of Mitt Romney” as a person, you are endorsing his candidacy as well. I hope that this not true.
May God help the Church during this time to stay faithful to the proclamation of the gospel and its apologetic of the truth, and not allow the devil to divide us on the essentials of our faith.
Sincerely, Pastor Henry J. Payden, Jr. First Baptist Church of Malvern, Oh http://www.fbcmalvern.com

Hi Henry, thank you for taking the time to leave your comment. I hope I can provide some clarity to a few areas.
Firstly, thank you for praying for Mr. Rioter. The very purpose of this article is to bring him or her to a knowledge of their standing before God, and that His wrath abides over their head unless they repent and trust in Christ. My prayer is that they continue through with the next article and watch the video to see how they might be reconciled to God. On the other hand, the article may fatten up the wicked for the slaughter when the Lord Jesus Christ judges them in righteousness. Either way, God will be glorified.
As to people threatening the president, I have not seen that in these twitter feeds. Perhaps they are. In any case, yes, these words would be for them as well. The warning is also for anyone who considers themselves to be a good person, which means the letter could really be meant for most of America who profess Christ but by their deeds they deny Him and walk as enemies of the cross. God will destroy them as well if they die in their sins. Here’s an article for them to read if they don’t read “Do You Know Him?”: The Tale of a Good Person
Now, while I do not believe that Obama is the Antichrist, I would stop well short to say that any Christian who believes he is the Antichrist is wicked and therefore not saved. Salvation comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It’s a good thing that correct eschatology does not play a role into one’s salvation (excluding full preterism).
I absolutely agree with you regarding praying for our leaders.
Respectfully, you wrongly assume that I voted for Mitt Romney and endorse him for the president. I don’t. And neither do I endorse Barack Obama, who is the most radical pro-abortion president in history and is the leader of a party platform that epitomizes Romans 1. Here’s a few articles explaining why I endorse neither candidate:
Why I’m NOT Voting for Mitt Romney (and with a clear conscience)
Mitt Romney’s Rape and Incest Exceptions for Abortion
Why Christians Should NEVER Vote for Barack Obama (or any other pro-choice/pro-abortion candidate)
I hope that clears some things up for you. I am in agreement about not being divided, as long as we are unified in truth.
Grace and peace to you.

Scripture just doesn’t square with “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life”, does it?

Not in the least, Gary, but it does say “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (John 3:36)

Gary and Justin, that is the old line. As bad as it was, at least God was acknowledged?
Today, what do we have? “Every day a Friday”….or “I declare” (meaning that we humans can merely speak whatever we want into existence). Then there’s folks thinking they can in fact declare ‘I AM’ (which is rank blasphemy – that is only God the Creator’s Name)
So in just a few decades, we’ve gone from at least a mere acknowledgement of God to thinking that no, in fact we ourselves are “God.”
Yep folks, if you ask me our country is on its deathbed, morally and spiritually. I do not know whether Jesus Christ would raise a country from its deathbed or not, we shall see. Maybe he will yet have mercy because of the remnant.

Well said and thanks be to God that you shared His Word with so many. Today may all of us that love our Lord pray on bended knees for His Will and for healing in our whole country. We must repent and return to our Lord’s will and His word or there is no hope for the future of our children and our grandchildren. Many of our past generations paid huge personal sacrifice to honor God and found our country on His word. We must honor that and pass it on or our country will fall.

Amen.
Here’s an article that helped me more clearly see the two major candidates, especially Gov. Romney.
“Heaven help us!”

One point of disagreement with the writer is that I would say the great and desperate need of our fellow Americans is biblical conversion to Jesus Christ and not simply “moral renewal” to maintain our American civilization. Other than that, it was quite helpful in informing my conscience.
